Hoe, Sit Down
With what could have been the best week ever for Hillary Clinton, again she was beat down by Mr. Obama. After "Pastorgate", Hillary was supposed to gain ground and take back the nomination. However, that didn't happen. On March 18th, Obama gave a speech that instead of being a band-aid to the race issue actually served as a platform to open up wounds, wounds hundreds of years old, and began to heal them. He showed he understands America, meaning- all of America, not just people like him, but everyone. He made people cry, not Obama supporters at a rally, but the audience of journalists. This speech helped him get the key endorsement of Bill Richardson- former member of Bill Clinton's cabinet for both terms. Richardson, the Latino governor of New Mexico and 2008 Democratic Presidential candidate, is being called a traitor by the Clintons. However, Richardson has his own reasons:
Also, the latest Gallup Poll numbers show Obama finally pulling ahead of Clinton 47% to 46%; the poll showed Obama in the lead until the release of the Rev. Wright video. Clearly, the media needs to stop asking if his speech was significant. Since Feb 5th- Obama has gained over 40 Super-delegates and Clinton has lost 5. This isn't looking good for her. She needs to stop doing McCain's job for him and bow out gracefully. More on Clinton's bleek chances:
