Virtual dating

Dating As winter gets closer you if you're in a relationship you might be preparing yourself for a winter of romance and cuddling, cooking together and holidays with the maybe future in-laws.  For single people it means cans of Chunky Soup and extra covers on the bed.  If you're a single person out there trying to quickly fix this situation you know that sometimes that mission can look hella bleak.  All of us need a little help sometimes so you might be considering a dating website.  We all know the urban legend of your coworker's best friend's ex-roommate who got fed up and paid for a dating website and ended up on the best date of their life and it turned into a real relationship.  We also know the one that gets sent to your mother through a long chain e-mail that eventually makes it to you about the guy or girl who almost gets killed.  Dating sites can be fun, though... kind of like online shopping.  Best suggestion is to wait until they have a free communication weekend.  But if you can't wait here is the real about some of the most popular dating sites:

eHarmony - good because the questions really make you feel like your matches will be true.  Bad because if you don't subscribe you can't see pictures... not very compelling.  Also, everyone seems to be a little on the older scale

Lavalife - cool because you can communicate and connect pretty much for free, but that doesn't keep all the nut jobs out

Black Singles - if you're looking for ethnic people specifically Black Singles has the most.  Its got a pretty good search fields so that you can pick exactly what you're looking for.  You can't very in depth with your profile compared to the other sites though

Chemistry - these questions are really friggin' weird and then they return these match results that are based on this fuzzy personality scale.  The people on it seem to be a little weird, too

Match - maybe one of the consistently best for young people.  The matches make sense and a lot of them are actually good looking
